About
A historic cabaret bar owned by the Vara Family. Originally founded in 1938, it hosts drag shows, comedy nights, open stages, cabaret events, and karaoke. It's a very popular spot for bachelorette parties on the weekends, and often hosts different events on both its main stage and downstairs in the basement (often referred to as Jacques Underground).
This bar is also known as the drag bar that Katya Zamolodchikova live upstairs from and got her start with events like Perestroika. It continues to foster Boston's established and up-and-coming drag talent to this day.
