The Ruby Fruit is a strip mall restaurant and wine bar serving the sapphically inclined, located on Sunset Boulevard in Silver Lake. Opened by Mara Herbkersman and Emily Bielagus in February 2023, The Ruby Fruit is a place to call home for not only lesbians, but non-binary, gender-expansive folks, the trans community and all of those who fall under the sapphic umbrella. The Ruby Fruit is the first permanent lesbian bar to have opened in LA since 2017. The wine bar’s name is an homage to Rita Mae Brown’s The Rubyfruit Jungle.

Come in for a glass of natural wine, mingle with some cuties and nibble on some snacks from our queer run kitchen. Open for breakfast, lunch, happy hour, and dinner 7 days a week!
