PRIVACY STATEMENT Revised 2 February 2021
SECTION 1 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?
When you access our site and provide your geo-location, it is transmitted over an encrypted connection, as is modern day protocol. This location is merely used to identify nearby event and locations, and is not stored with any identifying information, if at all. Meaning: we aren't tracking you like SOME big name corporations you sold your soul to.
When you browse our site, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to create a unique experience per-user, as we have not yet implemented user accounts.
SECTION 2 - CONSENT
How do you get my consent?
When you provide us with personal information in the form of an IP address or a name in a review (which, mind you, does not need to be your actual name), it is used merely to indicate that you have submitted a review, status report, or recommendation to prevent spamming.
We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone. When you submit any information to our site, we reserve the right to use it in on any marketing material for the site (usually in the form of screenshots of the User Interface).
If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.
How do I withdraw my consent?
If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by contacting us.
SECTION 3 - DISCLOSURE
We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service. However, since all we have stored is an IP address and maybe a fake name if you submitted a review and entered one, it's literally useless.
SECTION 4 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Links When you click on links on our site, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.
SECTION 5 - SECURITY
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
If you provide us with your location information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and is not stored with any identifying data. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
If you provide us with your email address in the point of contact field when adding or editing virtual event data on our site, your email address will be encrypted before it is stored. It will not be loaded from secure storage when the event it is linked to is being edited, and will be overwritten if the point of contact info field is modified. We do not share contact information with any third party. If you want to request your contact info be removed, please reach out to us at support @ kikipaedia . com, or use our Contact Form. You will need to supply the contact information provided for us to be able to fulfill your removal request.
We are not responsible for any contact information or PII the end user provides in any data entry field on this site. Any information provided by the user is at their own risk.
SECTION 6 - AGE OF CONSENT
By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.
