In 2018, Dr. Randy Speights bought The Double Play and transitioned it to XCrossing. Dr. Randy did a total teardown of the bar. He made it transition from a dive bar to an upscale, attractive, and mainstream bar with Victorian, Steampunk, and New Orleans décor.
