About
Rock River is a beautiful tributary of the Connecticut River in Southern Vermont. When folks speak of "Rock River", they're often referring to the wilderness trails and clothing-optional beaches alongside the lower reaches of this river.
Parking is available along Route 30 in Dummerston (see Route 30 and Williamsville Road on the map). The land is accessed by woodland trails. Visit the official site for more information. A printable map is also available here.
The gay section is farther down the trail; you will likely see some straight bathers, keep going until you see the gays. No trails beyond the trailhead are paved, crossing the river will be necessary at some point, and there is a portion with a rickety old staircase. Pack water, snacks, and any other essentials.
