Virtual Protest to Defund the Police (Boston)
Please join us to demand Boston to defund the police, fully fund social services, and invest in communities of color. Minnesota and Los Angeles have started this process and it's time for Boston to act too! The plan is to change your zoom profile picture to a DEFUND THE POLICE graphic (feel free to download the cover photo) and/or hold up a sign with your camera on. Public testimony is limited to 2 minutes. Let's abolish the police and the carceral state! Let's get justice for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade, and more. Black lives matter. Please share this widely!
The council may also vote on a proposed ordinance that would prohibit police from using facial-recognition technology.
