PEM Pride 2024 | Film Screening, Panel and Presentation at Peabody Essex Museum

Join us as we celebrate our cherished LGBTQIA+ community and local “Werks of Art” this Pride Month, in partnership with Salem’s own Miz Diamond Wigfall! Our afternoon film screening will be followed by an evening dance party and drag show featuring special guests Cain and Landon Cider (season 3 winner of the Boulet Brothers’ Dragula). Celebrating Local Legends: Film Screening, Panel and Presentation 2–4:30 pm | Morse Auditorium This Pride, we are focusing on uplifting community voices. Join us in kicking off PEM Pride 2024 with a special screening of Peabody TV’s documentary The Drag Queens, Kings, and Things of Salem, featuring the Hometown Queeros collective. The screening will be followed by a panel conversation about drag arts, queer communities and gender euphoria and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the documentary. Our panel guests include filmmaker Randyll Collum and the Hometown Queeros: Miz Diamond Wigfall, Maxine Harrison, Buster Pants, Stardust Cropper, Miss Michael, Dick Kayin and Peewee Vermin. After the Q&A, cheer and snap your fans for a runway walk by young people from the North Shore community, who have been guided on a gender euphoric workshop journey facilitated by Maxine Harrison and Buster Pants in partnership with PEM and NAGLY.

Join us as we celebrate our cherished LGBTQIA+ community and local “Werks of Art” this Pride Month, in partnership with Salem’s own Miz Diamond Wigfall! This spectacular lineup features the Hometown Queeros collective of Salem drag artists, along with special guests Cain and Landon Cider (season 3 winner of the Boulet Brothers’ Dragula). Before the evening dance party, PEM will host a film screening and panel discussion with the Hometown Queeros, featuring a runway walk by young workshop graduates from NAGLY. After-Hours Dance Party + Drag Show 8 pm–midnight | Main Atrium Join us for a euphoric evening of drag and dancing! Dance the night away and enjoy a fantastical photo booth by Courtney B Hall, the “Light Witch”, along with a drag show featuring Landon Cider, Miz Diamond Wigfall, Maxine Harrison, Buster Pants, Stardust Cropper, Miss Michael, Dick Kayin, Cain and Peewee Vermin. The event will include refreshments and a cash bar for guests ages 21 and older. We encourage coming prepared to tip the performers! Tips will be accepted in cash and via Venmo.
